I had my interview on the 19 th december... a very offensive one! It was humiliating ....disgusting ..I am a good looking women and so does my finace! ( ther is a pic on my profile) who loves eachother deeply ! The consular officer was asking me if my family payed my fiance to bring me to usa !!! and vicerversa !!! I think it is soo pathetic and pitfful to depend on someone whos knows nothing about u .. and get treated as if u own them something ...it makes me sick ! After a monosilabic interview( he couldnt stand a positiv answer) i was approved together with a paper( 221? ) and congratulated for my visa and wishing good luck.. meantioning to me( that i could get it only when i turn in the only document that was missing from the file! ... I am a romanian woman living in lebanon( been married and divorced with a lebanese man ) and had no idea that they needed the family abstract( this is the first time i ever heard about such thing) . nevever knew that existed one!

I have dropped the document required( including my passport ) at the embassy and i was told to wait for their call ..

Well, it's has been more than 2 weeks and no news from them! ...even though we call and email them continuously ...it looks like they didnt not have enough of me but for sure i have enough of them ! I am about to cry...scream and i dont know what else...i am sick and tired ..and soon insane ! i have been through this process for almost 10 months....i feel that they are sucking life out of me! pls forgive me if sound discouraging but just want to share my experience and my feelings!

I wish u a better luck!

Amalia,

I am so sorry your interview was so unpleasant. Going through many consulates it is now standard proceedures to issue the 221 even though the interview was a success. If the paper you gave them meets the requirement there were asking you to meet and you have cleared security checks, you will get the visa.

We have seen in Morocco recently a number of documents being asked for that are not on the original instructions. Lucky for most of us this forum has given us the information and we can prepare before going in. I am confused why the consulate seems to make it so difficult for the beneficiary to come prepared for the interview.

I hope you can worry a little less. I know how difficult the process is and I wish you a quick visa in hand soon! (F)

Holidays was one of the reason ....they were surprised too and unprepared for a reply ..but u know what ?? they havent done nothing about it so far even though we kept on sending emails..calls..faxes.. I am really afraid my file was lost in a pile . I wish u all the best from all my heart ..u are very kind!
