Not sure if Im posting this in the correct forum. If im not, im very sorry.

My fiance is very nervous about his interview. Let me tell you all a little about our situation. I am the petitioner and im 28 year old divorced woman with one child from my previous marriage. He is 21 years old. So he is worried about me being older, me being divorced, and having a child. He is also worried because Im white and he is Indian. And because he is Hindu and Im Christian. Either ways neither of us practice our religion.

We meet in NJ when he was in the US on a student visa. We dated from September 25th and then on November 19th he returned to India. I also visited him and his family in India from February 13 to February 22nd.. I just received my NOA1 March 7, 2014. So I will be visiting him again in the summer for about 3 weeks.

I guess what Im asking is that my fiances concerns are reasons for the consulate officers to question more, rather then to just deny the application??? That is what I understood.

Thanks!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy Holi!

Welcome to the forum.

Follow the VJ Guides, gather up as much relationship evidence as you can, don't rely on just one type of evidence. You need to provide a balanced mix, take a lot of couple and family photos, visit as often as you can, hotel receipts, boarding passes, etc. Have all of your required documents in proper order, leave no room for question or doubt. Remember that you will have to "paint" a genuine and ongoing relationship "picture" to the consulate official in order to successfully complete this phase of your visa process.

Good luck on your visa journey.

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to the Embassy/Consulate forum -- topic involves that phase. ***

(Moderator hat off)
If you haven't done so already, go atop any VJ page, click "Embassy Info" and "Reviews: Embassy," and read the recent accounts for the appropriate consulate. Look through the India regional subforum for other insights.
