Hello,

I'm a US citizen and i will like to get the the citizenship for my baby that is 6 months old ( she was born outside the US ). I know it can be Done, but my question is; can it be done without the baby having to come to the US ( a least for the mean time, until she is 3 -4 years old )

Thank you

I am pretty sure you just have to take her birth certificate to the US embassy and report her birth, check their website for more information. you should be able to register her and even get her a US passport.....

Contact the Consulate.. Consulate Report of Birth Abroad gets your child registered as a USC he or she will be a dual citizen. Then you can apply for the passport from the consulate for your child. Its actually a fast and easy process. Contact the consulates ACS or American citizen services.
