Dear VJ Friends,

After waiting almost 18 months, our case was finally got approved last week by the USCIS. We are extreemely happy and relieved. The whole process teared down us and was very nerve breaking but thanks God that after waiting this long, finally we are approved.

My wife would like to travel so I would like to us how long approximately it takes to receive the actual green card ? On the USCIS page, it says you should receive your card in 30 days and no tracking number is posted. Are they going to post a tracking number to track the envelope or momentarily we will open our post box and receive the card :) ?

I appreciate if you can share your feedback. I also wish good luck to all friends and hoping that everyone will be approved soon.

Congrats, that was a long wait for you guys! I got the approval email on Thursday 03/13 . It says that it can take up to 30 days but today I got another email saying that they shipped my card yesterday so I assume it should take only a couple of days to get here. So I would say, give it a week from aproval to actually getting it in the mail.

I waited 2.5 years. I applied in Nov 2011 and got interview date may 21st 2014. During this time a complete silence from uscis but I went through couple of bio appointment. Finally through Allah's help I got approved and today on June 24th my card was shipped to me. Hopefully it will take couple of days more. Inn sha Allah. If anyone is out there and has his or her pending case. Don't loose hope. Sooner or way later it is your turn to see approval. Congratulations to you and good luck to everyone reading my post.

We were approved May 21st and received the 10 year card on May 28th.

We didn't receive any tracking number for the card. It arrived by US postal service priority envelope.

Congratulations!

I spoke to tier 2 immigration person for tracking number and he said that their system indicates that my case is still in card production and it never mailed. I was like so how come I got this text alert that the card has been mailed today. He goes it may be a system glitch. Seriusly. Did this happen to anyone. The guy was so annoying too.

The representative doesn't know because they are printing it and it has not been shipped. When it is actually shipped out, a tracking number will show up on uscis tracking system. Be patient it will get there before you know it.
