Hello everyone!

I have recieved our NOA2 that we have been approved!!!

Now on the letter it states that our case has been forwarded to the Embassy that we have indicated.

My question is it mentions nothing about the NVC but only the embassy.... Should I contact the embassy or is this what it says for everyone? If that is the case should my fiance just wait for the letter he needs to recieve or should I take other action to see where we are at?

I'm justing excited and i want to get ahead of the game as much as possible!!!

some NOA1`s are worded like this but youre petition is now sent to the NVC. If you can download packet 3 instructions from embassy you can begin to acquire the required documents and"stay ahead of the game".good luck.....

True ^^^^

once your petition is approved, it goes on to NVC before your embassy. Either way, once your consulate receives all your files you will be receiving a list of documents that you need to provide for your medical and your interview with the consulate officer.

Some embassies could require additional documents, but you can start organizing and putting together your core of documents (visa journey has a step by step K1 process, look under "Visa FAQS" and it details all the documents you should have in hand before your interview)

On the same subject I have a question once you receive the NOA2 and it is sent to the NVC for processing when can we start filling out the DS-160 online visa application ? Do we have to wait until the embassy receives the packet or can we start it as soon as NVC sends it to the embassy? Will we need a case number from NVC to fill out this form??

Question for everyone... I am in the same position as the original poster.

How do I know when my petition is received by the NVC? Once my petition does leaves the NVC, do I get another notice?

Someone posted that I can contact the Embassy 2 weeks after my NOA2, how will they know who I am (Do I use my same "WAC" number as reference")

Thank you and sorry for being such a noob in this matter. I guess I am just too excited.
