Is anyone else still waiting for their 2013 tax returns? I'm still waiting and I feel like it's delaying everything.....

Our return went into savings so long ago I'd almost forgotten the filing deadline is near.

April 15th is the DEADLINE to file, not the date you are supposed to sit around and wait for until you file. rolleyes.gif

I didn't sit around and wait to file. I got mine too I make like 10$ an hour. My co sponsor who is my dad makes about 200,000 a year and didn't have all the necessary documents to file until Wednesday so the accountant just got it and is doing it but I'm really stressed out because we are ready to schedule our interview. My other option is my grandpa who makes over 300,000 a year but his 2013 return won't be ready until October. So I'm just worried about that 2013 return. I want to schedule the interview already...........

I don't care about the refund..when I said tax return I was really just concerned about the 1040... I'm just wondering about the support my co sponsor needs to provide with the affidavit . The embassy said "last years taxes." So the w2 and 1040 from 2013.. But it's not ready yet ... So I am just waiting on this to schedule the interview.

If your co-sponsor filed their taxes already, the transcript should be available. Have them go to the irs.gov home page and in the search box type "get transcript." They will be taken to a page where they will create an account, and then will be able immediately to download the transcript of their tax return. This is the only proof that USCIS will accept if the tax return was electronically filed.

The entire process takes about ten or fifteen minutes.
