How to Divorce a beneficiary you can't find??

Okay this is not about me. So lets get that out the way. I am asking for a few women i know.

Here is the situation for many of them. (Involving Nigeria and Ghana).

These women want to divorce but now can not find the men (the men never immigrated here). They are not at the last address known. Not answering emails or calls.

So how does one go about getting a divorce from someone they can't file? I know there is divorce in absentcia, but what all do you have to do ? Publish divorce proceedings in their countries paper? File in their country? Anyone with some guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

It varies a bit by state. You have to prove the best you can that you tried to serve notice at last known address Many courts have a free self hap area and the package of paper is usually very very cheap

Once they figure out what papers to fill in and file then each state will have different laws on notifying absent respondents. But it will be similar. Usually a posting in the official newspaper at last know address. ( the international part makes it tricky ) .
