There seems to be quite a few complaints about civil surgeons and vaccination supplements on VJ.

A couple suggestions:

If you need to get vaccinations in the U.S. check if your health insurance will pay for vaccinations and/or Varicella test. Ours does and we saved $190 that the civil surgeon would have charged us for 2 shots and the Varicella test. We went through our physician and got the results to the civil surgeon. It was a little extra work, but saved a lot of money.

Make sure that when you contact a civil surgeon regarding the vaccination supplement that you are very clear that you only need the supplement completed and not a full medical exam. The civil surgeons office tried to do a medical exam and charge us a lot of money and we had to explain to them repeatedly that only the vaccination supplement was needed, as the medical exam was done in her home country.

Yeah... I called one office and I got the same story. They wanted $300 for the exam and refused to do a I-693A without a full exam. I called another office and got a quote for $76.00, no appointment necessary.

Does anyone have experience or knowledge for K-3/K-4 AOS ? One USCIS rep told me we only need the I-693A because my wife and step-daughter had their physicals recently. Another told me I need to make an Infopass appointment to talk to an immigration officer. (2 to 3 hours drive!). Does anyone know something more accurate than maybe? Thanks!

2005-08-10: Met Natalia and fell in love. Too bad she didn't.

2006-01-13: Married. Biggest mistake of my life.

2006-03-07: Began the I-130/I-129F process.

2006-11-01: POE - JFK / Home in Austin!

2006-11-15: She hits me and continues pattern of abuse.

2006-11-16: I filed for divorce.

2006-11-17: Wife is served divorce papers; she and daughter return to Russia.

2007-12-08: She returns to Russia "for the holidays" (lied to lawyers and court).

[many more ups and downs during this time period - mostly downs]

2008-03-26: File for bankruptcy.

2008-07-30: Bankruptcy finalized.

2008-08-27: Divorce final. Started piecing my life back together.

(See my timeline for details.)

Disclaimer: I'm just a guy who married for love, but she didn't! All she wants is money and a green card.
