ok my joint sponsor makes 34k a year and his houseld is 3 him his wife his kid and my houseld is 4 do i count myself? and my us citizen son as part of my houseld for the i-864?

If there are 2 intending immigrants, then his household is 5: his own household size of 3 + the 2 intending immigrants he is sponsoring.

Anything can be assets cars (Owns more then one car), money in bank, houses etc.

ok i just learned that a checking account is an asset how much he needs to have in his checking account to supplement his income? and do you need to prove it?

Yes, of course you need to prove it. You need to provide proof of ownership and value of the assets you claim. I have said this before, but it needs to be said again... please read through the I-864 instructions. You ask many questions, sometimes more than once, and the answers are already provided in the instructions. Assets are on page 7 > http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf
