Hi all

I'm waiting case number from NVC for more than 2month .

My petition is approved January 2nd and my fiance got NOA2 January 13.And USCIS case statu said shipped it on January 7. I think it was normal speed until here.

I thought I can get NVC case number after 2weeks got NOA2, But I couldn't so called NVC that the people told to me wait 8weeks. So we are waited 8weeks, but still not get letter after 8weeks. We send email to NVCresearch but the reply said "not receive" and called to U.S embassy in Tokyo, but they said can't help without NVC case number.

I don't have idea where is my petition now?

Is there anyone same as my situation?

Please help!!!

NVC has been very backed up for awhile now, it is taking upwards of 2 months at times to get the embassy case number. (ignore the MNL that is just the case number)

For the NVC:

Checking on your embassy case number: As of late its taking upwards of 8 weeks for NVC to receive your file from USCIS after you receive the NOA2, then for NVC to get your file in their system and get the MNL # from USEM. Call after 4:45 PM eastern time for shorter wait times K1's are not tracked through the AVR, ever. They are processed like an immigrant visa, but they are NOT immigrant visas, so they fall into a completely different class of their own. Therefore you need an operator.

To get there: 1-603-334-0700 Operator assistance is available Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 12:00 AM (Eastern Time)

Press 1 for English
Press 5 for an operator

NVC CONTACT INFORMATION:

Website: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3177.html

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov The email request for your MNL # is also a great way to track when your file is forwarded to USEM as NVC will not reply to the email until that time. ;-)

If your petition is delayed or "lost" between USICS shipping it to NVC use this email: nvcresearch@state.gov

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).
* Petitioner's name and date of birth.
( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )
* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth. (Beneficiary)

Oh, I am so sorry to hear that. We are still waiting for our NOA2 and I am counting 14 days before give them a call. Your case is weird. It seems NVC never received you petition from USCIS. You have to focus on calling and following up with USCIS to find your petition and proceed sending it to NVC.
