Hello everyone,

I have a unique problem that could possibly cause issues.

My wife came over on a K1 visa in Oct, 2013. We sent in her adjustment paperwork in Dec 2013. Her daughter was planned as a follow to join K2, which she did in Jan 2014

Now I am in the process of adjusting our daughter's status. Today I noticed a huge error on her mother's original i-864 affidavit of support. I listed her daughter's last name wrong by including her middle name with her last name.

Her daughter's last name is Latin American and is very long, so it was easy for me to make this mistake. instead of writing

First: Jane

Last: Smith Doe

Middle: Jenny

I listed it as

First: Jane

Last: Jenny Smith Doe

Does anyone have a similar situation to this? How did you go about correcting it? I was thinking if I submit a new i-864 with the name corrected and the proper AOS forms it won't cause a problem, since her mother's AOS has been moving along without issue.
