We had our interview on 3/3/14 and were approved. Today my fiancé goes to work and the consulate has called his job and left a message for him to go to the consulate at 7am on Monday windows 28/29.

They didn't say why or if he needed any forms etc. and of course he can't call the number they left because it is now the weekend.

What could they possibly want? Especially if they didn't ask for a form? Do they call you in to tell you they change to deny? He is freaking out worse than me. He signed the ds160k when we had the interview. And they have his passport.. What else could it be?

If it is just a signature or something.... Is it possible that they could give him visa same day?

Any comments on experiences with windows 28/29 would be helpful... Thanks!!

Are you sure he didnt sign the ds156k? That is the oath paper. The ds160 is just a confirmation page.

The windows 28/29 is the iv unit for immigrant visas. It says this is where you submit documents determining case status. See below

Information about submitting documents and determining case status

The IV Unit will be ending its operation of Windows 28/29 over the next few weeks. There will be a transition to new procedures to facilitate our move to the new Embassy.

Information: If you are seeking general information about immigrant visa (IV) cases, please see our website or contact our Call Center if you need specific information about an IV case. You must purchase a PIN number at Banco Popular to contact the Call Center. More information is available on our website.

Submission of Documents: All the immigrant visa applicants are allowed to use the DOMEX Courier Service to submit documents requested by the consular officer for Immigrant Visa (IV). The cost of this service is US$11.00 dollars or the equivalent in Dominican pesos. Currently, some documents will continue to be accepted at Windows 28/29.

It is essential to verify that any submission include all documents listed on the refusal sheet. To avoid delays in processing, please read the instructions carefully.

I saw that someone didn't sign the 156k and I made sure that he signed it so don't know what they want. Do they even call people in to deny them? Is the 156k the only thing that needs to be signed? One month later??!! Omg!!!

And why did they call his job and not his house or cell phone??

Don't worry, i am sure everything is fine ...maybe he forgot to sign any paper.

Update.. I haven't heard from him but have called the consulate which said that they called him in for a second interview (system didn't say why) and that now the system says 'transferred' which he says means approved with 100% certainty.. Ha! Hate to sound negative but I won't be happy till I see him step off a freaking plane. Still don't know when visa will be issued..... Will fill y'all in more when he tells me what they asked... Ugh...
