hi everybody!

i'm flying to the US next Sunday.pliz would you give me an idea what i should expect at JFK? what kind of questions will the immigration officers ask? should i bring any extra documents with me (apartfrom the sealed envelope)?

I would strongly suggest that you bring all the documents that you had translated for the visa process and you medical records especially shot records, translated copy of your driver's license if you have one, police cert with translation and any school records.

Any other documents that you may bring please make sure you get it translated there because it is so expensive to get things translated in the United States.

Whatever you do don't refer to your Fiance as you "WIFE". That is one sure way that they WILL NOT let you into this country.

My husband did not have a problem at all. If they don't stamp your i94 with work authorization please ask for it.

You will be fine.

06/10/06 Mailed AOS papers

07/06/06 Biometerics Apt

07/15/06 My offical wedding day....I know .....:-)

08/25/06 EAD Approvel

09/01/06 EAD in Hand

09/26/06 AOS Interview (Recommend for Approval)

10-05-06 Received Welcome Letter

10-10-06 Green Card Arrived.

You shoulde be fine, as long as your "brown envelope" has not been opened or tampered with and all of your docs, are in order.

Don't forget to get you temp EAD stamp...make sure you ask for it.

Timeline

Hopefully you planned your trip with a long layover if you have a connecting flight. Immigration lines can be long if a lot of flights come in close to each other. I was there about an hour when I returned from Morocco. The non-citizen line was about 2 times as long.
