Living Abroad and filing for k-1

Dear all,

First off, many thanks to all for the informative posts that I have been going over as I prepare my 129-F and G-325 forms.

I have one question.

I'm currently in the state visiting family, and was planning to file my 129-F petition at this time. I live overseas with my fiance.

Which address should I put down as residency? We're planning on moving back as soon as her fiancee visa comes through and I'd like to use my US mailing address on the forms, but I was going to state my current place of residency on the G-325A as Russia, so having different addresses on the two forms would look a bit strange. Is there any place where I can explain that I have a US address but currently reside abroad?

Any advice?

Thanks much,

George

Why don't you check the Direct Consular Filing Forum. Since you live with her, you could do that and get her GC waaay faster. Check with your consulate.

Rather than create a new post I thought be best I reply to this, My fiance wants to come live with me in England while the K1 visa process takes place, my question is can the forms be filed by post from England or do they have to be files in the US, if so once filed is she free to come stay in England while we wait ?

Thanks in advance

The USC can mail the petition from anywhere - I sent ours from Mexico via Fed Ex since we filled out everything when I was in Mexico visiting. She can visit the UK whenever she wants, as long as there aren't any issues with "immigrant intent" like there are when a non-USC visits the US.
