I went to the doctor for a consultation. I asked for a "consultation" specifically. It was a family planning consultation, as a matter of fact. Well, a week ago I receive the claim denial, saying that the service code used by the clinic was wrong. I call the insurance company and they said that the doctor's office coded the visit as "counseling" and that is not covered. Well, I call the doctor's office and talk to the insurance person there (it took me a week to even get her attention  ) and she says that there is nothing she can do, since the doctor herself coded the visit as "counseling". Well, I am frustrated because I didn't ask for counseling, but for consultation.... What do I do next? The doctor's office knows that I asked for a consultation..... This is crazy
