Has anyone used HVR-Express (Haitian Vital Records Express LLC) to obtain documents from Haiti? I recently ordered documents from them for my wife and curious about the experience others may have had with them. Thank you.

Thanks for mentioning this. Did you wind up using their service? Any comments? We need to get a back up copy of my husband's birth certificate....

We did and the process is fairly easy. We completed the forms online and my wife has been in contact with someone on the phone. If you upload a copy of the birth certificate, it makes it easier for them. The process takes about 30-40 days and someone called my wife with an update the other day. So far so good. I'll keep you posted.

Update: Yesterday, HVR contacted my wife and advised her that they located her birth certificate and will mail it out next week. So far it has been a good experience dealing with HVR. They called every week or so with updates even if there was nothing to report.

Just wanted to post an update. My wife received her birth certificate extract in the mail today. It has been a pleasure working with HVR Express. They provided updates throughout the process and emailed a scanned copied before they mailed it out. I highly recommend them if you need official documents from Haiti.
