I moved to the States end of January, couple of months back. Our plans was to get married ASAP and filed for the AOS. Unfortunately uncontrollable events changed all plans. In February the weather was terrible which meant we had to postpone the wedding and then my then fiance lost her mum mid-February :( . We did a quick wedding following the funeral and submitted the AOS application first week of March.

Unfortunately, I had a call that my dad is on his last day in England.

I went to the field office in Dover with my infopass but was told my name was not on the system, and when ever I get the receipt number i should do a walk-in to the Phili Office. The lady was sympathetic but could not assist. On Monday night I received the number and called the 1-800 number to explain my situation. They advised that i make a infopass appointment to my field office. I asked if I could go to Baltimore field office, but the guy on the line wasn't too sure. He state that I could try as it would depend on the officer.

Baltimore I went. Met a very nice lady who later concluded that I wasn't in their jurisdiction. She referred me to Phili after contacting her counterpart there. I went straight there and got it. Another nice lady there. Advised that I did the biometric before i leave the country which I did the following day in Salisbury.

Now back in the UK after hectic days running around and preparing for my dad's funeral.

*Question for those with experience on this - Would they continue to process my EAD/AP whilst I am away?

So you left US, back in UK, without your Advanced Parole being approved beforehand?

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

That first mention of Dover threw me off, didn't realize there was a Dover here.

Muahahah! (there is an everything here, makes my husband laugh weekly).

OP: You have AP already. EAD will be processed as normal. My condolences.

Trying to clarification a point Harpa made - The EAD whilst being processed, will I still have the combo card with the AP, as the emergency AP I have now is good for 90 days but single entry.

Ah, it's single entry...

Well I am not sure, but I do think a multi-entry AP will be approved since your current is not.

Not sure if it will be on a combo card or a separate paper AP. Both will work.

AOS for my husband
8/17/10: INTERVIEW DAY (day 123) APPROVED!!

ROC:
5/23/12: Sent out package
2/06/13: APPROVED!
