I filed I 130 for my mom. Receipt date is April 19, 2013. Then got approved sometime in November. Then they forwarded my case to NVC. Waited for more than 9 weeks til they told me that they just received the case on feb. 14. I call them every single day. On feb 14, they told me to wait for another 20-30 days to process. Its 20 business days today after feb 14. I gave them a call and the lady told me to wait ATLEAST 20-30 days after feb. 14 when they told me before that rhey're already processing it and should be given a notification WITHIN 20-30 days after feb. 14.. I dont know. I am sad, confused etc.. I think that my case is way off timeframe... pls help

Holy sheep, they JUST now received the case at NVC and it was sent in November? That's a little scary! However if they just received it in Feb, it isn't the fault of the NVC. It is the service center's fault...was it TSC that you were at?

Typically when the case hits the NVC, you have approx. 30 business days to get a case number so unfortunately you are still well within normal processing times at the NVC. Its just such a shame that the service center didn't send your case sooner.

I meant case number. And it was through NBC at first then they transferred to texas

I figured that it was Texas (TSC). They are notorious for delaying sending out petitions to the NVC. You should get your case number soon. Just keep calling every few days, but unfortunately it is taking about 30 business days to get a case number. The good news is that someone commented that the NVC are trying to clear the backlog of petitions by working overtime and on weekends, so there is light at the end of that dark tunnel :)

My daughter's I-130 was filed in May 2013, sent to Texas Service Center for processing, approved and was sent to NVC by Jan 6, 2014. I guess I got lucky because they didn't take long to process the case. See the timeline below for my case. Seems NVC is handling my case pretty quick so just hang in there. What is the reason for you needing your mother with badly? If it is for health reasons, you can actually request to expedite your case

Feb 24 - Ready for processing, NVC Case file assigned

Feb 24 - submitted DS-261

Feb 24 - paid AOS fee

Feb 25 - payment processed

Feb 28 - AOS fee shows PAID on NVC website

Mar 12 - DS261 acceptance

Mar 12 - Paid visa fee

Mar 13 - payment shows PAID in NVC system

Mar 16 - Submitted DS-260 (confirmation says wait 30 days for NVC to review)

Mar 17 - sent supporting docs for visa app

Jasmine05, di ko nga alam eh bat tumagal ng ganon. They told me that their office is piled with too many cases that it's hard for them to catch up. One more thing is that they closed their office many times coz of the snow storms.. i hope tuluy tuloy na this time.
