Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

there *used* to be a similar rotary/roundabout in Clearwater. They called it the 2 million dollar mistake. Looks about the same :D

I heard that traffic light intersections are making room to roundabouts all over Europe as they seem to work extremely well there. I see more of them every time I go home and there are no such problems with them. Maybe it takes a different type driver to make proper use of them...

it's obeying the traffic laws that makes them work.

I like the comments:

Easy solution. Blow your horn until morons get out of your way. Give no one an ounce of peace until you escape. The horn is the most under used part of a car.

lol exactly  does not happen much around these parts with tourism and the retirees fighting over who gets the left lane to go 30 mph only to make a right a few blocks away.

Not really, as Europeans are NOT necessarily obedient of traffic laws.

However, they instinctually assume that all other drivers share similar views (on traffic laws)--and then go by that.

Oh yes that roundabout in Clearwater Beach was horrible. I haven't been there for over a year now though. So they got rid of it?

i think it was more than a year ago that it was completed, and they completed the new bridge. I guess that does not say much about the improvements!

I can remember that they had a THEORETICAL section about roundabouts in the Alberta driver-ed manual (which was only good for written or multichoice quizzes/tests IF the question was asked--I cannot remember seeing any of them actually in the province; maybe someone from Edmonton may know if one existed).

Of course, that doesn't prepare me for the scare-story I have to negotiate twice each sunday at Chevy Chase Circle (basically, I've had to use survival instincts only).
