OP, you'll be granted your wish as soon as you figure your wish out.

worth noting: 95% of these marriages are childless; but yours was even sexless... or did the hero perform long enough to get GC?

Thanks for replying. What do you mean I will be granted my wish as soon as I figure it out? My wish is that he be deported or lose green card. There, is it gonna be granted now.

I am so disappointed that almost no one here believes me and says "your evidence doesn't look good", you look like a bitter spouse, etc. The marriage lasted 7 month. That alone should appear suspicious. I am on antidepressants. This guy ruined me in more than one way. First guy I loved and was intimate with scammed me for a green card.

Aisha, some people just won't believe you. You can't fix that or change their mind. Don't let it bother you or get you down. I do believe you. I am glad you are seeing a therapist because this story is sad. Getting used, getting blackmailed, and then hoping that maybe real love would come from it.

Unfortunately, scammers pick their victims, they pick people that aren't willing to stand up for themselves. I see victims of abuse getting abused over and over and it makes me very sad. It's vital to learn to stop this cycle.

You did the right thing and reported this to USCIS. Good for you. That's a great first step. Best of luck.

Thank you, you seem very kind. It was hard reporting it because I am not the type to hurt anyone but I feel like I need some form of justice, it will be easier on my soul, would bring closure, kind of like a rape victim getting her attacker behind bars....

Realistically, do you think he will get his waiver approved with everything? If they do I have no trust in the justice system anymore.

You had your removal of conditions? They asked for a lot of evidence?

Despite members' arguments that "Yes, you CAN scam an honest person" - the probabilities do not agree. OP got out of this "marriage" what she wanted, and wasn't successful in getting any more. Spousal entrapment by virtues of USC is likely to bear only that much fruit - and OP should try to retain only the best of memories... That's what I did post partum, and both me and my children are better for it. Never say anything bad about ex-, or about anyone for that matter

No one can know exactly what the case looks like because we don't know all the facts. We also don't know exactly how USCIS does their investigations because it is classified.

It doesn't seem like he has a lot of evidence, and the timeline is very fishy. Let USCIS do their jobs. You won't be able to know the results, unfortunately.

Don't talk to him any more, and get him out of your life. Good luck.

Well said Harpa.

Very sad story, move on, the more you worry about what happens to hime the more impact he continues to have on your life, the opposite of love isn't hate its indifference, the sooner you don't car the sooner you can move on.

Well, I believe you. I did not mean to imply otherwise.

And I think you got shafted and it isn't fair at all.

It's okay to hurt and even feel angry.

However, you're wishing for the wrong things (his deportation, that is). You would be a lot better off if you stopped worrying about what may/may not happen to him and focus entirely about what will happen to you. After all, you are worth worrying about, right?

You were gullible, there was love, at least on your part... Tough to argue you were in love and wanted it to work AND at the same were coerced and blackmailed to do something you did not want to do (since obviously a part of you wanted this to,be real)... And there lies why it hurts so bad... You allowed yourself to be duped, it does not make you any less a victim, but it does hopefully teach a lesson to yourself about trying to make things work that should not...

Lessons cost, good lessons cost (or hurt) a lot... Sorry you are going through this...

Unfortunately, factually, the government needs to see hard proof (writings, email, police reports etc) which you have very little of. One must think that they see WWAAyY too many bitter, cheated exes set on revenge to just believe here say... You should get your satisfaction not based on what uscis does to him, but instead on the fact you reported what happened and submitted all the evidence you could... The ultimate outcome is out of your control... Say your peace, give them what facts you have, then wash yourself clean of him and find true happiness... You are soooo young, live life some, marriage can wait!

Thanks....I KNOW it is tough to argue that you were in love and blackmailed into marriage and hard to believe someone was THAT stupid but yes I was and he SCARED me soo much with threats, was screaming at me, saying "you are responsible for me the minute I get off that plane, etc"....and I stupidly loved him....

You say I need hard proof even in removal of conditions when he is applying by himself with waiver? Aren't waiver cases suspicious anyways and he does not have that much evidence anyways....so I don't think "hard proof" is needed unless he already got a permanent green card, which in this case he didn't....marriage lasted only 7 months....

Don't keep to telling " I was stupid and I loved him and ...."

to be stupid is not meaning you are not Guilty.

Also You said you have a lawyer he/she said everything is ok in your side and....

And you did report to USCIS too.

Then what do like people say to you here ?

Just wait see what will happen to both of you in court

But if we all believe that he was enough ####### to do those thing to you, He will not be quiet in court too. I hope your lawyer does the best for you , because really you need it.

Guilty of what? I was the victim of marriage fraud....used for the green card. He acted well so I did not know he only wanted the green card....

And the lawyer said I am a US citizen so they will not go after me if he accuses me of anything...
