After tracking all the documents and working on this package for over 3 weeks, I think I’m ALMOST ready to submit it. I have some specific questions: I use a PO BOX for receiving mail should I use this address or my physical address which is an apt that I may be moving away from soon? It’s is just one check for $340 to USDOHS for this part? Also for G325A …how does my fiancé sign it? I guess I could scan it have her print and then scan back. Or did most of you just sign it for her? Same question with her letter of intent. Should I include affidavits from family members that traveled to VN to meet her family? Should I include pictures? Should I include my official college transcripts? I have all my documents of financial support and income (/pay stubs/w2/letter from employer)…but I guess I don’t need to provide this now? I don’t have my birth certificate…will color copies of ALL pages in my passport be enough? My fiancé lives in Hanoi but she still has to go to HCMC…is this correct? Aside from the obvious, I included in my application flight stubs, hotel receipts, credit card statements, WU/moneygram receipts/, notarized timeline. Anything else?

I don’t know why but I’m kind of nervous about sending it. I just hope me and my fiancé can be here in the US by Christmas.

G325A and letter of intent are needed an original sign from her.

Affidavit from family is not needed but it will not hurt.

College transcript is not needed ( not required ) and the transcript does not prove your relationship.

Financial support is for I-134 and that is at interview stage ( not now).

You dont need birth certificate now but you need to include US passport or naturalization certificate to prove you are US citizen. However, you will need a Birth Certicate at interview stage because the Consulate will ask your fiancee to bring it to interview.

How many pictures do you include?

Do you have the old vietnamese visa that you were entered to Vietnam or passport stamp?

You might want to include chat log or email?

Everything that need her signatures need to be original. We had to use EMS to send it back and forth...cost us a fortune. about 50 bucks to send a single document to the US and about 20 bucks to send to VN.

That's for EMS 1 week expedited services.

OK thank you all for the replies. I guess I need to clarify some points. I followed the guideline on this website which included the cover page. Right now I have the PO BOX listed on all my documents... do I need to redo them with my apartment's address so that they can have my physical address even though I don't get mail here?

I have over 1200 pictures of us from my 5 trips to VN. Printed, I only have 50. How many should I include in the package?

Last time I sent my fiance a visa debit card through Fedex Express and it took over a month for her to get it. It was just sitting at some office in Hanoi for over a week ...nobody gave us any form of notification.... and when she actually picked it up... the envelope (the folder type) had been opened and inspected. Is EMS used by the USPS?

I was thinking about including my college transcript because I havent worked in previous years because I was in college. I just started work in December 2013. This might be an issue with the i-134 so i wanted to have some explanation/evidence on file.

I believe PO box address is fine. If you want to prove residence you can include utility bills.

I had tons of pics just like you. I used the photo collage software free from the web to paste like 6-10 pictures into an 8x10 and printed it out at the local drug store (Walgreen). In my submission, I included about 10-12 pages of photo collage, totalling about selected 120 pics. Then I do the same thing with the screen capture of yahoo video chats ....about 3 pages of 15 sessions of video chats. Text chats I printed random pages totalling to about 30 pages of text chats. Then all the phone bills, used phone cards, etc..were all included. I also wrote to my fiancee via post office and receive her reply via snail mail. All those were included as well.

EMS is ran by the post office aka USPS. I have good experience with them. They always come through in about 1-2 weeks.

You don't need college transcript. They are not requiring you to prove your income at this time. I-134 won't be needed until near interview time. You can gather your evidence now but I would focus on the 100% complete I-129F first. The last thing you want is receiving a letter requesting for additional evidence. It will delay your file a great deal.

I would use the physical address instead of P.O. Box. If you will move to the new address, then you just change the address online.

I think 50 pictures are way enough and I would use DHL instead of USPS or Fedex. I have used DHL many times in the past to send the package to HCM for 2 business days and it costs around $56 dollar. DHL will delivery on the day that they promised but USPS is never.

The Consulate will require the most recent tax transcript which is 2013 for you. You do not need to include 2011, 2012 . If the Consulate asks why you did not work in past couple years, then they will ask you to write a letter to explain the whole situation not just a transcript. The Consulate will not interest to see your transcript.

Lastly, as I said above, the signature needs to be original not scan because you dont want to receive RFE.

You need to put your PO Box because that is where you will receive mail from USCIS. Item 14 on the 129f is where you will list your physical address (where your fiance will live in the US) and Item 1 is where you put your mailing address.

If you dont have your original birth certificate, you will need a certified copy of it. You need to contact the vital records office in the state where you were born. The copy is usually less than 20$, in Oregon they are 15$ so I ordered 2 just in case the embassy lost one

for incoming mail use your PO that you use for yourmail. Yes you only send them one check for 340.00, don't worry more funds will be needed later lol. With the G325a and letters of intent they need to do on their own and sign. My fiance mailed me hers. Affidavits from family won't hurt if you can get them then do it I did, and I also had them get them notarized. Yes include lots of pictures. The W2 and income taxes you do not send now you send that with your affidavit of support I-134. You have to have copies of your birth certificate, no passport alone isn't enough. You can get your birth certificate from the city in which you were born.

You don't need to copy every page of your passport. Just the biograhpical page and your Vietnam Visa stamps when you 2 were together. There is no point of sending copies of blank visa pages. Cover letter is optional but some members sware by it; I didn't do one and got approved so it's up to you. Use the PO Box for your address. For pictures I only sent pictures printed off on regular 8x11 paper and hand wrote the date and location on the photo. You don't need you birth certificate yet but you'll have to get it. Many people over think the filling. Most importantly ensure the forms they asked for are fillied in correctly.
