update for other readers: I received my Biometrics appointment. so so far so good. Not sure it's kinda automated service until biometrics appointment letter or as an courtesy of accepting the money.

And NOW the packet will go to the officer to decide to accept/reject the packet considering it was late by an week.

I guess we have to wait and see how it goes.

I don't think anything is a sure thing, as lots of people seem to have different experiences. But from all I have read on this and other forums, if you have already received your one year extension and biometrics appointment, then I am seriously doubting that you are going to get denied because you are late. The reason being that they have already accepted it knowing that. I doubt you ever hear anything else from USCIS about anything being late.
