It's a hard, hard part of life. Dying.

My grandmother was in hideous horrid pain the last couple of months of her life. She had been a good and wonderful woman her entire life and the death she was experiencing was simply unfair.

Rebecca ~ that's exactly what I was thinking last year with my Mum.

Gary, Luz is a wonderful lady, giving her the love that you do everyday is just what she needs. Just be there for her when she needs it, you can't do more.

biometrics 08/15/07

ead card ordered 09/20/07!!!!

ead card received 10/01/07! finally!

aos case transferred to California Service Center 10/03/07!

received "Welcome to the United States of America I-797 11/05/07!(dated 10/30/07)!

Permanent Resident card received 11/05/07 (dated 10/31/07)! THank u LorD!

Will file for 10 year GC End of July/Early August 2009!

Removal of Conditions:

Mailed I-751 overnight mail to Vermont Service Center 09/10/09

VSC received the I-751 Packet 09/11/09 About 12 pm Local time

Check was cashed as of Sept 16th 2009

NOA Received 09/19/09 dated 09/14/09

I-797 Appointment Notice received 10/01/09 dated 09/25/09 (Biometrics)

Got they 10 year GC approval letter in the mail dated 01/08/10! yehey!

10 GREENCARD RECEIVED 01/20/10

Citizenship.......maybe............or maybe stay a permanent resident .......................

My thoughts and prayers are with you and Luz, as well as her family. I remember wishing that my mom would just go on and pass, she was in so much pain from the cancer that had taken over her body. I remember feeling guilty about that too, but it was for mom to be at peace that I wished for her passing to come sooner. Don't feel guilty about that at all. No one wants to see or know that a loved one is suffering. Please tell Luz that I am thinking of her. (F)

Best wishes to you and Luz.

We found out last week that a close family friend (with no prior ill health of any kind) had a sudden stroke on christmas eve. Luckily for him it was minor and he is doing fine now - but just goes to show how suddenly and unexpectedly these things can strike.

Having seen both my maternal grandparents succumb to the effects of severe strokes, I know its can be one of the most traumatic things for relatives to go through. Again best wishes.
