Manners are outré. A real American never admits a mistake or apologizes. That's for losers.

That's right. And that is why real Americans just shoot and kill those that apologize or make an attempt to apologize. Real American figures putting them losers out of their misery is the American thing to do. And the tree of liberty gets watered as an added bonus. Hell yeah. Murca!

What is mot unfortunate is that there are some who actually consider it justifiable that a teenager be shot for sneaking into his girlfriend's room.

For the record, some of us Americans, are outraged and actively trying to stop such madness from taking place.

No one here in this thread ever suggested anything of the sort. Go back and read the news reports and how they explained what happened. News Flash---There are lots of guns in America. Good people own guns, bad people have them, and some people have them that may or may not exercise good judgement. Guns are not going away, and short of a revolution, no one will ever be successful in trying to take them away or over-regulate them.

This is a pathetic story that has now been twisted into a father shooting a boy for sneaking into his daughter's bedroom. That is not what happened according to the reports.

Correct. The boy was invited into the bedroom by the daughter and shot by the father. That makes it entirely different.

And you love it that someone was shot. Edited by Papa Lazarou

Just curious - does it matter what weapon the father had used, in determining his legal immunity from killing the teenager? How about a knife? An axe? A very large paperweight he grabbed off his daughter's bookshelf to smash the skull in?
