OP had closed his VJ account. Must be not liking the responses here ;p

I'd say we'll see him later, but that's unlikely.

Bet you're both right. I also doubt he will ever make it over the border, at least not legally. I wonder why so many people get on here, ask questions and then just refuse to listen to the advice given. duh?

CO will assume you are a highly addicted weed smoker that took a break to pass the medical. CO "knows" you will likely resume your evil drug use once you enter the US. And to support your habit you will begin selling drugs to little old ladies and school children to support you drug use. It is YOUR burden to prove them wrong. As many have said here: Good luck

now your sounding like me.

I thought as much.

once a smoker, always a smoker. (no offense :) )

Hi to all.. I have the same problem here, i also admitted to the dr that i had smoked marijuana once just 4 months ago. My interview is set on March 27, 2014. My medical is finished and the result will be forwarded to the US embassy here in manila. I am ready to accept whatever the CO decision and hopefully that I will get only a 1 year ban. I just want to ask if a one year ban means that I can apply again after 1 year for a visa? Is it possible that I will be approve after 1 year? I'm planning to go back to Dubai to work there, is that make a valid proof that I am clear enough to be granted a visa after a year? If there someone here with the same experience please advise me on what to do. Thanks..

You can't do much but wait to see what happens at the interview. If you get a ban you may have to go through additional steps like quarterly drug tests at your expense to be able to reapply.

Do you think that the CO knows about my admission? In case he will ask me, do I have to tell the truth? Thanks..

Of couse you gotta tell the truth in whatever you tell the CO.

one lie could lead to another, then another, then another, then a denial.

sometimes the CO ask you a question not that he don't know the answer, but want to find out if you've been telling the truth/will tell the truth throughout your interview.

There are things the CO knows that you dont know.

Of course he knows. The doctor didn't ask you questions to make small talk. He asked them to make a report for the embassy.

Misrepresentation and not telling the truth to an immigration official will earn you a lifetime ban from the US.

If you clearly said it was only once, there's no ground for inadmissibility. Experimentation with any drug can't lead to a CLASS A or B Conditions classification. However, if you admitted using it more than once then the situation may be different. The physician also takes into account the physical signs of the drug use. If you aren't a drug abuser or addict indeed, a professional doctor can't entitle you as one. However, if you smoke, it might be more difficult for the doctor to say if what if smoke is cigarettes or actually weed. The consular officer basically reads the classification you get on your medical results. If something is wrong then he reads in details as the law forces him to make a decision based on what the doctor determines.
