Im a US citizen and my I-130 application for my wife and son was approved in 33 days! I got approved 03/04/2014

now what? Should we call NVC or just wait for them to notify us? Are we expecting anything from them to send us?

We are not in hurry to this whole process so we're a bit shocked that my application got approved that fast.

the I-130 gets approved fairly quickly. Now USCIS has passed on the case to NVC to process. The NVC process takes 30 BUSINESS days, so contact NVC mid-April and ask for the NVC case number and invoice number. It a whole nother waiting game...

takes 30 BUSINESS days.... not 2 weeks, my parents case entered the NVC system on Jan 29, March 5th is when I was able to obtain their NVC and invoice numbers.

It's up to you if you want to call on the 2 week mark, there are no guarantees...

You got a NOA 2 without an expedite in that short space of time? Wow, there are people waiting since February 2013 that have yet to be approved so if you have your NOA 2 that fast, count yourself extremely lucky. Does your case status say that your petition has been shipped to the NVC? When it says that message, you should wait a week then call NVC to see if it was received. Approximately 6 weeks after reception, you will get a case number which will permit you to continue on with the rest of the process.

Nope, it has no effect unless you are from the phillipines and have been expedited.

I am almost ready to send the documents. I understand that I need to send separate I-130 petitions for my wife and two kids (2 yr old and 6 month old). So is it ok to send the documents in one package envelope (one registered mail with 3 seprate folders or needs to be send separately as three packages?

please advise how to start as a new topic or question
