Is it time to reach out to my congressman?

Hi all,

After submitting filling for I-485 adjustment of status on June 5th 2013, I have yet to hear back regarding my interview and have been stuck on "Testing and Interview" since...July 2013 (!).

After speaking to customer service, I understand that the process is taking longer than expected because my Miami field office has a long wait for interviews. But that long? My biometrics at the Miami field office was done a month after I filled, so they are far more competent than they say they are.

From your past experiences, do you think it's worth reaching to my congressman/woman at this point?

I appreciate your help as always.

Only if you have a need to have your green card that your EAD doesn't satisfy like a job offer that requires permanent residency.

The "as of December 2013" makes me wonder if this is up to date or not.

I think the Miami office is the only one backed up more than the Dallas office going off of other posts I have seen on here.

I think you're right. But to me it sounds crazy how easy it was to get biometrics completed yet how backed up the interview line is. Ultimetely not the same manpower needed I suppose but still...

Often the ASC (biometrics place) and the interview place are different. With no update since December, I suspect they are still on May applications. But, I really think your turn is coming up soon. Trying for some service request or additional help won't hurt. Good luck.

Thank you. I will try making a service request - like you said- it can't hurt.
