1042-s form (foreign person US income) but got Green Card

Hi,

Besides the W2, I have just received a 1042-s form (fellowship, code 15) for 2013 because I got my green card only at the end of the year.

Could someone that has faced this situation in the past tell me how they proceeded about this form? (ie, did you treat it exactly like a W2, for example)

I will be filing "Married filing jointly", probably with TurboTax, in case that is relevant.

Thank you so much in advance.

Hi,

This is an old post, but I am in the same situation (have a 1042-S from a non-working fellowship and got my greencard after recieving it).

Just wondering if you got a sollution or if anyone else has a suggestion.

Thanks!

Do you have a code in box 1?
