Hi all. My wife has a Philippines passport and applied under F2A category.

She had her interview last Feb 26, 2014 at the US Embassy in Singapore since she is living there. The interview went well per the consular officer, she was told that she will get the visa in the next 3 days. On March 10, 2014 the CEAC status changed from Ready to Administrative Processing until now.

Any idea how long it will stay in AP? The consul did not ask for additional documents. Is it OK to contact the visa unit of the embassy and inquire about the status at this point of time?

Thanks in advance.

Mine took 4 days to switch from AP to Issued. It can take up to a month to get your visa, so I wouldn't worry yet. But if it will ease your mind, you can definitely contact the embassy: singaporecon@state.gov

Flying to Seattle on 6 May 2014!
