My fiancee just finished her medical yesterday. We will pick up the paperwork on Friday. Both Cho Ray and IOM is pretty book until April. Trying calling multiple telephone with IOM and ask them nicely / beg for an appointment that is before your interview date. Use the justification that the interview date is coming up soon. I would only go this route if your actually interview date is before any open date for the medical.

This is what we did because our interview date was on March 21st 2014. Don't lie now if you interview date is further ahead because you don't want other people who really need it to not have that opportunity.

Also word to the wise is to have your fiancee go get her shots 1st. Most likely she will need to go to the place and get a ticket and she won't be able to get the shot the same day. Most likely she will have to wait until the next day.

Shots 1st then Medical but book the medical asap.

Note

- Your fiancee will have to bare her entire chest to the doctor to examine. So prepare her. Also make sure she doesn't wear see through underwear =P because basically that is the only thing is showing (This was at the IOM)

Good luck

Does she get a female doctor? In the Philippines they have to get completely naked but they get a female doctor automatically. Personally, I could not care less what gender my doctor or nurse is, but not everyone is as open minded as I am, espeically ladies in an Asian culture.

Are you serious about this question? Some of the ladies over there SLEEP with their boyfriends (as in not yet married, only engaged) and try to get pregnant to hook the men in their net.

They're NOT exactly the SHY ones.

When a 20 something girl marry a man even older than her own father (and this happens a LOT in the Phillippines as well), I wouldn't think the girl has the "shyness" problem getting naked in front of a MEDICAL doctor!

You may have a valid point but these policy considerations are made by (hopefully) wiser people than us.

I am with you that I could not care less if my doctor is male or female. A doctor is about as interested in seeing your body as a mechanic is in seeing the brakes on your car. I have had medical services performed on my private areas by both male and female doctors and nurses, and all I care about are professionalism and competence.

Be that as it may, this is the policy decided upon by these (hopefully) wiser people than us. I was just wondering if Vietnam does the same.

You should know though that not all Fil ladies are like that. A lot of them are, and a lot of them flock to the web sites in search of their Sugar Daddies, hence the perception that most or all are like that.

I searched long and hard for my fiance, a diamond in a mountain of coal; the coal in this case being the scammers, the visa whores and the ones who are out to make a buck selling cam sex.

The Philippines worked for me, but for anyone else who wants to try it, be prepared to wade through what I waded through to find your true love.
