Hi

I need help regarding filling of DS261 form.

There is a questions in thwe form "Do you wish to appoint an agent or attorney to receive mail about your visa application?". I want to know the answer (Yes/No) if I am filling the form and will be handling all processing myself. I am the benificiary and the principal applicant.

The the answer is No. The form unless you have a lawyer or 3rd party (family member or something ) is a moot point. Emails are provided to NVC when you got case# for beneficiary and petitioner you would get them both so no matter if you or petitioner is the agent you both will get unless you didn't provide both emails.

The answer is YES if the beneficiary is in india. If so, then appoint the petitioner in US as agent so everything is mailed to him instead of INDIA. IF both petitioner and beneficiary are in US...either yes or no is good. Dosent really matter.

Put Yes and choose petitioner as an agent. You both will receive all mail because everything comes,in email now. I did the same.
