At least 16 people have been injured -- four seriously --- in the collapse of two buildings in Harlem Wednesday after an explosion, according to media reports.

Harlem Hospital says it received one patient with serious trauma, WCBS reports. The FDNY says 12 victims suffered only minor injuries.

CNN reports that Con Edison, the New York utilities company, had been called to the site on 116th Street in East Harlem to check a possible gas leak just before the explosion.

Check your family and friends if you're from NYC.

I just heard one person passed away. This is just terrible. I've started checking in with everyone I know there, but since none of my friends live in Harlem any longer, hopefully they're all okay. My thoughts are with the people of New York today.

Seriously. Someone thought that.

There needs to be an IQ test before you post in the comments section.
