I wish I didn't have one. I live in Dallas though. No way around it. One great thing about NYC. Don't need a car.

Yeah, I want to joyride though!

laughing.gif no thanks, not true, and no Walmarts around here anyway.

Saving a few pennies on ####### I don't need won't get me a car.

Of course it's true. Walmart has something for everyone, toothpaste, deodorant, razor blades, shampoo,... the possibilities are endless. And we're talking saving dollars, not cents. You're only limited by your Walmart prejudice. Free your mind and save money. The Stepford Wives shopped at Walmart. Just think about that nice shiny car.

and just think about this: many of those chemical products were manufactured in China, under zero quality control....do you really think brushing your teeth with anti-freeze is a wise idea? If you don't know the answer to this, ask your dentist.

During your extensive visits to China, did you survey a sample of it's 1.3 billion inhabitants and examine the manufacturing facilities? Please post the source of your research, even if in comic book form.

secret7vf.gif You do know they sell the same brand name products as everybody else? As far as Chinese goods, they are sold everywhere, even in those mom and pop establishments everybody is protecting.

Wal-Mart. Helping people to a better life the world over.

Now if only they'd help their employees.

Right now, they're looking to the taxpayers to take care of them.

Jobs are a revolving door. Personally i watched the people of the US find a job and better their lives. They have the choice to stay or not. As for China, you cannot imagine what it's like for a family who has always lived in poverty to have a son or daughter who is able to move to a larger city and get a job. They send money home and improve not only their own life, but the lives of many others. It's not a perfect solution, but moves in a positive direction.

You think a lot of people working at Walmart are working there because of the pay and benefits? They're likely working there because they can't find anything else and SOMETHING is better than the near NOTHING that Walmart provides them.

Their low wages are costing you and me money. You may be okay with it, but I'm not.

Penny, I just truly wonder about a mind-set that expects an employer or government to be responsible for their plight in life?

Way to disregard anything I said.

It's not about an employee expecting an employer or government to be responsible for their plight in life.

The fact is that Walmart should be paying their employees more than they are. You and I are picking up THEIR slack. And they have far more money than we do.

There are plenty of places where Walmart is the only game in town. Walmart made it so.
