Lol every time I post I get mail from uscis ? I got my biometrics letter, for April 28. I'm going to risk a walk in on Friday though as the 28th is of course 2 days after my day surgery (Sods law)

I got my biometrics appointment letter. It will be April 25th... I will try to do a walk in this week since I will be in the neighborhood (~2 hours away from home) if it does not work, oh well, the 25th will be then.

I guess a lot of people got their biometrics appt letter today! As soon as I saw all the posts I was hoping I'd get mine too and I did! Yay!! So excited :dancing:

March 21st, 2014: Delivered at Chicago Lockbox. (Day 3)

March 24th, 2014: I-130 & I-765 received & moved to Initial Review (Priority Date for I-130 & I-485). (Day 6)

March 28th, 2014: Fingerprint fee accepted for I-485, case being processed at NBC. (Day 10)

March 30th, 2014: Received NOA1 via email/text @ 11:21pm. (Day 12)

April 2nd, 2014: Received NOA1 hard copies in the mail for I-130, I-485 & I-765. (Day 15)

April 7th, 2014: Received Biometrics appointment letter for April 30th @ 2pm in El Paso. (Day 20)

April 18th, 2014: Successfully did a walk-in for Biometrics. (Day 31)

I got my biometrics done today. It seems like the appointment time given does not really matter since you still have to wait in line, fill out form, return to line, receive a number and then wait until the number is called. So for those of you who need to get the biometrics done, I suggest showing up 30 - 15 mins early for your appointment. I arrived 15 mins earlier than my appointment and still had to wait 45 mins AFTER my appointment time. But once they call you, the whole process only takes about 10 - 15 mins. Good luck all! :)

Congrats burmagirl - one step closer!

I have an update, too: This morning I received text/email that my interview has been scheduled for May 8! :dancing:

Now I have to wait for the hard copy with the actual time etc. It should arrive in the next few days.

Apparently, I am on the fast track pile - not sure why, but definitely happy about it.

My task for the next 4 weeks will be compiling the bona fide marriage documents.

@PopularArts: If your status changes to "testing and interview", then there is no date listed yet as the interview still needs to be scheduled.

It was the same for me - first the status change and then it gets modified as soon as they have assigned you an appointment. Usually that takes 1-2 weeks,

but can take longer due to the office you are assigned to.

@dcpoli, Congrats on the quick progress. I have the same timeline with you, but I have not received a date yet. What time did u get the text/email? Does your online status change as well? Please advise, thanks!

3/15/14: NOA hard copy for both

3/24/14: Biometrics for 4/10/14

3/27/14: Early walk-in successful

4/1/14: Online status changes to testing and interview, ready for schedule
