Hi All,

I just got back to our residence and was able to check the mail to find out hard copy interview notice. Along with the notice, I also found an insert related to arrests and to bring documents if you were ever arrested - same as those in the I-485 instructions and looked like a standard insert.

I'm just curious though - if the insert is standard and everyone receives it with their interview notice. For those that have received their interview letters already - did you get the same additional letter?

I'm curious as I have no criminal record (in fact did my own FBI background check to verify), but do routinely get "randomly" selected for extra screening at airports, given I have a common name. So wondering if USCIS found some "hits" on my name - and the insert is their way of telling me....or I could just be paranoid...haha!

Anyway - if anyway that's received their letters could chime in, it would be helpful.

Cheers!

I've received the same letter along with the interview one. It probably is standard procedure.

So i just got back from our interview and IT WENT AMAZING!!!!!! :dance:

We got there at 10:45 am and waiting till like noon.. id say.. our interview was supposed to be at 11:15am but we al know its not always on the dot.. anyways... This really nice lady ( i think her last name was Gibson.. not sure) called my name.. and we went to her office. took our oath and sat down. My husband's a great personality and he broke the ice.. and i followed.. she first asked us how we wold like to be called ( we are a same sex couple, so she wanted to know if we like to be called husbands or partnes) we hate the term partners.. so we told her we would like to be called Husbands. anyways.. then she asked us how we met.. ad from there it was the easiest interview of my life!! lay back, fun.. a lot of laughter and basic information about each other.. she loved us.. she was delighted by our stories and she was happy to know that our families were so supportive.. we brought our photo books.. yea we don't have albums we have books cuz i love my hubby so much i always send our photos to this place that turn them into books. she was like "OMG these are so cute" i gave photo copies of the photos and other evidence like joint adcs, gym membership and then the obvious.. Yes or No questions which i answered No to all of them.. Right there she said.. "i have no more questions theres no doubt you guys love each other and this is a real marriage, no further questions so I'm APPROVING both cases..." so yes I WAS APPROVED ON THE SPOT. then she told us that my GC should be in the mail in 2 weeks or so and then explained us about the ROC in 2 years.

My husband n i are so happy that this part of the journey is over and that the interview was so delightful.

I'll let you guys now as soon as my GC arrives. and Ill be checking on all you guys.. this has been a major support on our journey and i wanna kmake sure you guys also have a one!!

NOW OUT TO CELEBRATE!!!! :dancing::pop::dance:
