Thanks for the reply Misasale;

I guess they reject it because I do not have $420..... (but way more then that send)

What you think ?

I think so.. Maybe if one of the money orders was for $420 and the second ine for $$$ they would just keep that one and send the extra one back. Or maybe they would reject it anyways. You never know with USCIS :( What I don't understand is why in that rejection paper they point on I-485 money orders? The amount of those is right.

Just send the I-485 how it was and I-130 with $420 money order and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Which Service Center is handling your case? I got National Benefits Center for now, but quite possible that they might transfer to another service center.

Still haven't received NOAs through mail but waiting. I'm hoping I don't get a RFE. unsure.png

Does anyone know if RFE comes during Acceptance status of your case or Initial Review Status? Like say, if I get a biometrics appointment, does that mean I won't get RFE?

Congrats Misasale on the confirmation...

Congrats dcpoli on the confirmation also.

To Burmagirl;

As far as I know, the RFE comes before any biometrics and such. I would suggest (which I did because I did not have any patience left) to call them on 1800 number and see whats going on with your application.

To my status ....

I resend the package today after it gets rejected. They will probably receive it tomorrow and hope to hear from them next week I guess...

Hrrr.....

May 3rd - Send to Lockbox Chicago

May 4th - Signed (Fedex Overnight)

May 12th - RFE (Send back because of incorrect fee)

May 14th - Send to Lockbox Chicago

@zoomzoom: all the best for your 2nd submission

@burmagirl:I also got the MSC for now. I think it first goes there before they actually transfer it to another service center or field office.

From the time you send your package it can easily take 2 weeks, so if that hasn't passed yet, I wouldn't worry.

From my understanding though the RFE can come anytime throughout the process in whichever step they are. However, you can have your biometrics the

same time they might request a RFE - if you look around the forum, this happened to a few people, so that RFE is not a hold up for the biometrics.

RFEs can come at any point in the process, even during and after an interview. We got one shortly after we received the biometrics appointment letter, but it did not prevent my wife from attenting her scheduled appointment.

Hi the MSC is the National benefit center, your file will be processed at this location then when they have finished there part of the process it will then go to your local field office who will conduct the interview.
