I received email/text at 7.15am this morning. The online status stays in "testing and interview", but the text below changes to:

Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Testing and Interview

On date XXX, we mailed you an appointment notice for an interview for date XXX. Please follow the instructions on the notice. So, you don't get a time, just informed that the paper copy with all specifics is on its way.

March 28th, 2014: Fingerprint fee accepted for I-485, case being processed at NBC. (Day 10)

March 30th, 2014: Received NOA1 via email/text @ 11:21pm. (Day 12)

April 2nd, 2014: Received NOA1 hard copies in the mail for I-130, I-485 & I-765. (Day 15)

Aww that sucks! Sorry to hear you weren't successful. I am also in TX, makes me nervous about not being able to do a walk-in either. My husband and I were planning on going next week since he'll be free during the week but will be working on the day of the appt. Hopefully it'll work but I guess no harm in trying even if they say no :(

I'm going to try an early walk in at Lawrence MA tomorrow. I've not heard of anyone being successful but as it's less than an hour from me I'll have a go ? hopefully they'll say yes.

I was successful and the guys there couldn't have been nicer! I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Hopefully this makes a difference in my AOS process!
