Case Status UPDATE: Post-Decision Acticity

Hey all,

My wife and I applied for her IR-1/CR-1 about a year or so ago, and today I checked online again to see that our case status is now at "Post Decision Activity" which past "Decision". Can anyone help me out on finding out the decision? We have yet to receive anything in the mail, or any other info outside of a notice that our case was sent to Nebraska Service Center. Can we call the USCIS and get more information on our case?

Are you not signed up for text or email alerts? If so have you checked your email or text to see?

It should say something. Are you registered on the uscis.gov. Meaning having an account so it gives more info.?

And of course you can call tomorrow.

We just signed up for an account on uscis.gov. Is there somewhere else to go to find out more info? Case status is still showing just "Post-Decision Activity".

Where it says post decision activity it also should say something under that. On mine :

On March 5, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocation

which as you see it says it was approved. I recieved the hard copy letter in the mail 5 days later. Hope that helps.

It's approved. It's being sent to NVC. That's weird you didn't get notification before that though to say it's been approved. I got that email as well a few days after my approval. Your noa2 should be in the mail soon.

I was at CSC, never got an update past post-decision activity. I know that the NVC has my case, just waiting for a case number. Other service centers will update the website when sent to NVC AFAIK

Thanks for the info and advice everybody. So then it looks like we have at least another 6+ months to go until setting up an interview and hitting the final part

I kind of figured it was an approval. Now you need to prepare for the NVC. Please come now to the NVC filers thread please read the #1 and #2 post. Full of info.

The 6 months more not quite. Depending how fast your petition gets to NVC you could be done in 4 to 8 weeks. Then you wait for interview for Brazil (i help maintain the case complete interview thread) its usually no more than a month to wait for interview. So within the next 3 months you could be interviewing.

So you can start calling NVC Monday and bug the heck out of them for your case#. Don't be discouraged when they say 8 weeks. That's what everyone gets.

So start reading and getting your documents together for NVC now. Congratulations.
