I am staying put. Just curious about the position of others and why.

If the poll choices don't fit, feel free to add some comments.

Apparently your post in the K1 forum worked. I see 8 more people have stopped by since you created it!

I work for as an office manager for a doctor. Not only is the job challenging and interesting, but the doctor spoils me and lets me know I am greatly missed when I run off to see my fiance. I think he is praying harder than I am that my fiance arrives here soon so I'll stop leaving!

:D I've been around. Lurking mostly, posting very occasionally. And I'm not married yet.

but yeah, i haven't forgotten about vj, just not doing the k1 anymore, so don't post in that forum as much. I've actually got two friends i've pointed to this site, one is doing a dcf in OZ, and another is trying to get his norwegian girl over here... they've had the majority of my advice, as little as that is.

luvaLimey,

Wow, where have you been? Your input has been missed. I know married life is good, but you can spend a few minutes with the VJ bud's, no? I know I am impatient.... This will improve over time...

Pateince grasshopper... you only put the freakin poll up t-t-t-today, jr!.

The one about smells has been going for a while.

As to the poll question: I actually love my job; but hate my company. If I wasn't going to be leaving it in a couple months to go live overseas, I'd be breaking away from my company and doing this job as a contractor: I'd make more, and I wouldn't have to deal with the BS of working for tight-arsed idiots.

I am leaving as soon as I can, but I couldn't vote, because my reason for wanting to leave is not listed. The reason is - my job is part time, and I need to be working full time.

I love teaching. I really do. The money sucks though, because at the moment I am only an assistant teacher so I get paid a lot less than your average teacher. I look around occasionally to see if there is something else out there ( I used to be a draftsperson for a land surveyor firm) but I've been in the education field for almost 13 years now...I think I've been doing this too long to do anything else, despite all the computer skills I've garnered over those 12+ years. I am tired of the struggle and we would love to be able to just relax...go on spur of the moment trips...whatever. We'll see...maybe something will turn up for Joel soon. *sigh*

There was not a choice for me to answer why I am staying. I like my job. The money is mediocre at best but I LIKE my job. It's entertaining and is often very rewarding in other ways other than financially.

So "not enough money"?

I really enjoy my job. The agency I work at is a great place and, so far, there are less office politics than in past jobs. The hard thing for me is that I moved from Georgia to New Hampshire to take this job (have only been here 6 months) and don't really know anyone here yet. Sucks when the fiance is gone :(

The Company is really good to their employees.

I really lucked out, it was the first job I applied for when I received my EAD.

Been there 9 months now and enjoying it.

Nursing is not what I expected it would be. If I had to do it all over again, I probably would have chosen a different profession. I'm thinking about doing my masters in another course and going a different direction away from nursing. Being burn-out after only 2 years of being an RN isn't good, but I'm almost there.

well i dont know what the future holds for me. i am working at delphi and if u have heard we are in bankruptsy now. they offered us $140,000 to leave our jobs...I stayed. now they are negotiating if we want to flow back to general motors we can keep our wages and benifits just the way they are. so if they say yes to this proposal i might be leaving and going to GM.

i didnt stay because i liked it or anything...just hate the idea of being unemployed.

That's weird.... Delphi in Indianapolis has been hiring people. One of my friends from work managed to escape the hell known as Foxconn and land a job at Delphi making $60k/year.

My own personal hell has been updated a bit... I am on first shift now, effective today.

Still hate my job, though. lol

that is wierd. our delphi has been hiring also but they are temporary. they get 120 days then out the door they go. they never hire making $60,000 a year to start. i think he may be lying to u. ive been there almost 14 years and i made $66,000 last year.

I don't get that at all. Lots of people seem to lie about what they make. I don't understand why anyone would feel the need to do that.
