Hello,

I am new here, from Pakistan. I've got the scholorship for an exchange visa for a year. I need your help guys, the problems is, that my academic documents are with my full name including my cast which is as same as my father. But the name on my passport and CNIC card is without cast.

On friday when I went for my toefl test, on their records they have my name as same as on my documents but when they checked my passport it has differ name. And they asked me to wait while they confirm that I will allowed for test or not. anyhow they allowed me and asked me to mention my name as same as my passport on the test paper.

later on, I asked my porgram counselor and he was'nt his self sure. Now I dont know what should I do. did I get rejected on visa interview? I am really very worried. Let me know what to do.

Scholorship name is CCIP.

Regards,

Kamal91

Dear Kamal

I was once working on a scholarship too, and kind of had similar problem that my caste (which they refer to as family or surname) was not mentioned on educational documents. Only first/given name and middle name appeared on my educational dox. But i took my GRE (arranged by ETS) using my passport having full name (as on your passport there's separate field for family name / caste)

So, I am guessing you will not have any issue there. Moreover, when filling out forms for your intended university/college, there's always space/field provided to mention if your passport name differs from your educational records. So make use of that, even if there's any minute spelling change too.

I am hopeful it will do..

Good luck!
