They probably renewed it for you automatically.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

You can call up the embassy just to be sure, though.

My approval notice expired on 11/24/06, but the interview is scheduled for January 16th!

What should I do?

Hi,

Do nothing!...the embassy routinely extends the date...they know they are backed up....don't worry...go to your interview....good luck..:)

Phew! I had a momentary panic attack. The last thing that I could handle after 9 months of waiting would be more delay!!!

Thank you all for your very calming responses.

(This website is so cool! I just discovered it today and already it has calmed me down! Incredible!)

My approval notice expired on 11/24/06, but the interview is scheduled for January 16th!

What should I do?

I just read somewhere on the site that the Embassies do routinely extend the date of expired approval notices. I just received mine and it's good until April 20th, 2007. So, I will definitely be calling the Embassy when the date approaches if the interview hasn't taken place!

To be safe, send an email asking them to ensure that they have extended the validity - not all consulates do it automatically and it's better to be safe.

Waiver approved after 10 months. Did NOT use a lawyer

Never heard of an embassy that doesn't, if there is an interview date already there is no need to call, its a waste of time.
