I filed the application in June 2013

Received RFE for bona fide marriage on January 18, 2014

Rfe delivered to TSC on March 9, 2014

The status online is still on Request for Evidence

I have a couple of questions...

Has anyone receive rfe for bona fide marriage, how long was it before you saw change (from rfe to rfe Respond Review to approval) ?

As proof I send 8 affidavits, proof of me being in India with my husband for 6 months and photos of us while we were there, is that enough? We don't have property, bank account, or children yet since were going to do all of that here in the US.

Do you think this case is complicated?

How long more will I have to wait for approval?

What do you do after it is approved? Is it sent to his country?

**After the case is approved do they check all the documents again (marriage certificate, proofs, financial stuff)?**

I am a US citizen and my husband is in India and never has came to the US. And I am a naturalized citizen do I have to attend something like an oath ceremony or anything?

Please help, this case is processing extremely slowly, about to be a year in June. Thanks in advance!!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

What I have noticed is Texas Service center RFE almost everyone. Since you lacked the proof of bonafide marriage in your initial packet they will now have to go over your evidence. It doesn't take long.

1. As proof I send 8 affidavits, proof of me being in India with my husband for 6 months and photos of us while we were there, is that enough? That should be plenty.

2.Do you think this case is complicated? Have no idea if your case is complicated you haven't said anything about your case. Like age, religion difference all that red flags that make it difficult sometimes.

3.How long more will I have to wait for approval? There is no way to know depends if the adjudicator is satisfied with what you sent. Usually RFE isn;t more than a few weeks 2 to 4 weeks maybe be sooner maybe later.

4.What do you do after it is approved? Is it sent to his country? No they do not send anything to his country this approval is within USCIS. Your petition doesn't go to embassy until you are assigned a interview you have await for that. Still have NVC to get through. Here is the NVC Filers thread you should follow. Read Post #1 and #2.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/483206-nvc-filers-march-2014/

5.After the case is approved do they check all the documents again (marriage certificate, proofs, financial stuff)? No USIS once approved sends your petition (casefile) to NVC. This is where you will get your husbands documents (all originals or certified copies of originals( for his IV packet and you get your Affidavit of Support packet together. Read the post in the link I posted.

6. I am a US citizen and my husband is in India and never has came to the US. And I am a naturalized citizen do I have to attend something like an oath ceremony or anything? When you say oath. What do you mean for what?

Hopefully your evidence will be enough its all about the adjudicator and how picky they are. I have seen approvals from people who supplied only a marriage certificate (not at TSC though).

All you can do is be paient and study up on the next stage after approval and the NVC. Alot happening over there.

Hey thanks for the reply, and thanks to everyone else also.

2. I am 21 years old, my husband is 26 years old, and we're both Sikh(religion) Indians. We got arranged married on January 18, 2013. I don't think age would be a problem.

6. Oath ceremony is one of the statuses listed for the case tracking. I was wondering what and who that is for. My dad became a citizen so I automatically became one, so that would make me naturalized, I guess.

Thanks for the links will definitely check that out.

Hi

My name is Mo. My wife filed I-130 petition for me from USCIS on 17 March 2015. 2 days ago I received email ( RFE) from USCIS as they require more information and evidence about my case submitted. I haven't received the notice on my address from USCIS yet. I am unable to know that what they are requiring from my side about my case. Can u please let me know in how many days did u receive your RFE notice from USCIS after getting your email. I am worried about that . And what did they require you in your case?

Kind Regards
