Medical problem upcoming interview, worried...

Hello, I post or comment on here pretty much every day, it's my home away from home I guess you could say! Seeing others going through the same thing, and helping others who are going through similar problems...However, not sure if anyone can help me with this...

When I was 20, I collapsed and suffered sudden cardiac arrest, and was then diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy - in laymans term, I have a big heart...

I was given a pacemaker/internal cardiac defrbrilator, which I have in me now..And I take medication.

I never intended on meeting my now husband, who is an American - however with my upcoming interview, I am worried if my diagnosis will effect our AOS. I know it's usually diseases that can be spread, mental illness, or lupus...BUT I'm still worried, and wondering if they ask questions about health? I clearly can't lie about it, and wouldn't want to anyhow...

The prognosis is unknown, I've had a doctor say 5 years, and I've had one say 50...

Just wondering if any of you have come into contact with a dilemma like this?

Not to worry but thanks for the kind words...They really didn't say a thing about it, I was straightforward and said it's being controlled with my pacemaker and medications...

I would be broken hearted if they turned me away at my AOS interview due to this.

I have just been talking to my wife who is a nurse & she says that it should not be a problem, I don't think you will have any probs my self as you got through you Embassy interview & if you were to be denied it would have been then. I will suggest that if you can have your doctor write a letter for you to take along so on the off chance it does come up you can show the letter, but I do doubt it will.

Thanks for the info, unfortunately my cardiologist is roughly 4.5 hours away, and I would need to book an appointment, and probably wouldn't be in time for my interview. I hope it works out, thanks for the help.
