When filling out the first part of I-485 do I put my wifes' changed name in the box? Meaning since she is taking on my last name she puts my last name?

Yes, if she intends on using your last name as hers put it...I didn't and as a result have to pay $450 to have it changed, so dumb!

I do the same on the g325a as well? Also she has a social security number already from a previous employment she did on a J1. Will I have to pay that for changing Social Security since it was issued before I even met her?

Fill out all the AOS forms in her new married name. You do not have to pay to get an SSN changed. You can try and change it with the marriage certificate and I-94, but I suggest waiting until she has her EAD at least Sometimes the workers at the SSA are pretty clueless.

You are asking a of AOS questions at once. It might be better to ask them all in one post and in the appropriate AOS forum. It might be easier to keep track of that way.

~ Moved from K-1 Process to AOS from Family Based Visas - topic is AOS, not K-1 ~
