Can i one tell me what 8 weeks are????

I called NVC and they said it may take up to 8 weeks to receive the case, so they kept asking me to wait 8 weeks, so after the 8 weeks is past, i called them back and now they still saying to wait 8 weeks, I TOLD THEM 8 WEEKS ALREADY PAST, he said sir it 8 business weeks not including weekend holiday or inclement weather. so i am now not sure what a week is it a 5 business day or 7 days Just so confused, i asked him, ok can you please tell me how long do i still have to wait to reach the 8 weeks?, because now i lost how many weeks NVC worked he couldn't response, so they have no matrix just blah blah.

HELP PLEASE, i am not sure what kind of help i am asking but i just speaking out loud.

What visa are you chasing? do you know that the case left the USCIS to go to the NVC? Has the petitioner called the USCIS to find out when the case left the USCIS and where it was headed? It's possible the case went to the NRC (national records center) by mistake and needs to be recalled from there and sent to the NVC instead.

Have you tried contacting the ombudsman or your congressman?

Its I-130 for my mother, and I contacted USCIS and they said they sent it, My Congressman is looking into the issue as well.

Yes call the USCIS and ask a tier 2 (not a tier 1.. they have no idea)

2) when was it sent to? the exact date?

If it was sent to the NRC instead of the NVC then you need to get it pulled from the NRC and sent to the NVC! But the 8 week counting date is from the day it was sent not the day you received the approval notice. And no, the "post decision" email means nothing. I received my post decision email 1 hour after my decision email and you cannot tell me they sent the file to the NVC that fast.

8 'business' weeks? wow, that's the first time I've heard someone use that. next thing, they'll probably say "8 weeks of regular hours, excluding holidays and after business hours..."

I know there no business weeks, but it was a response from a rep at NVC telling to count business weeks, when i told him that i have been waiting 8 weeks.
