One day, Harry Reid might make an honest statement. But I doubt it. <_<

It's interesting to hear him invoke the Democrat Party's favourite bogeymen, the Koch brothers, when he talks about buying elections, yet fails to mention the 58 organisations that contributed more. Could it be that among those 58 are al of the major unions? Could it be that, of those 58 organisations are overwhelmingly supportive of the Democrat Party?

Reversing Citizens United is only a partial solution. What is needed is the elimination of all the " big money" donors. Limit the size of political donations to, say, $2,500 maximum, per person. Limit the donors to individual US citizens, or legal permanent residents. Take the corporations, banks, unions and foreign money out of US elections. Give the US elections back to the people they are supposed to represent - the US citizens.

Don't interrupt me when I'm talking to myself

Really?

I found another source showing quite a different story:

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/11/charts-map-koch-brothers-2012-spending%C2'>

$2.2 mil by Koch industries, and $411K by the brothers themselves. George Soros spent $2.6 million himself.

So what? They're rich, let them fuel the fires...

I agree that there should be limits on party budgets for electioneering and I believe there should be a time limit for the campaigns as well. These year long and more campaigns serve only to enrich those who buy politics, not the general populace. Limit the campaigns to 6 weeks absolute max. In this day and age with instant information dispersal even 6 weeks gives you ample time to get your message out and about.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
