My fiancé and I are confused at the moment. We received our NOA2 notice of acceptance on January 29th. I , the petitioner, received a letter on February 18th stating that my fiancé can now fill our the DS160 online. From all of the forums and information that we read here on visa journey that he will receive a list of documents, including a checklist, and information that he can fill-out the DS160. For us it seems to not have worked that way as written on the site. Have things changed at the US embassy in Paris? He filled out the DS160 form online, but he has still not yet received the checklist to send back. Does anyone have any info on this?

Thank you in advance!

I don't know about France but they've just changed the procedure in Spain... They went from forms that they sent by mail and that you had to fill in by hand (some you had to send back to the embassy also by mail, others you had to take with to the embassy the day of the interview) to that online form. If it's the same than Spain, the beneficiary just has to print the confirmation page for the online form (a page with a barcode) They changed this very recently! Because the last reviews from the Spanish embassy in December still mention the paper forms.

Maybe it's the same in France? Hope you get the instructions soon and you'll know for sure then. Good luck!

If I understand the whole process well, you will get a checklist if anything is wrong with your case (classic example - missing some evidence). The painful part is that with NVC is the waiting time. Each time you send something to them, that takes at 1 month. We had 2 checklists in a row for our Affidavit of Support.

Be patient. If something is not clear, ask here and do your research. Don't be afraid to call NVC as well.

Thank you everyone for your comments. After I asked my question in the forum we were just about to call the embassy at pay the 14euro, but we checked the mail and the documents came in the mail that day. Since we were prepared and have everything on the check list all ready we were able to send in the checklist to the embassy the same day, which was a nice thing to be able to do.

We are now waiting for packet 4....lol

Thanks again!
