Hello to all !! ...

I just get my K-1 visa today, I'm very very happy. I have inserted a review on the Peru consulate section. So you can check it if you want.

This has been really fast, is amazing, we sent the I-129F on October 16th 2006, and I get my visa today, January 04th 2007 !!!.

The combination was Vermount and Lima,Peru embassy.

Well I have been thinking to travel on March 10th. I need time to do some stuff here, like leave my job ... good !! ...

Now, WHAT'S NEXT ??? ... of course get married but then ?, which are the steps to follow ?, which papers I will need once I'm there to continue with the process ?

Thanks to everyone, without you this would have impossible.

Wow, Congratulations! I read your review, sounds pretty scary! My fiance has his interview in Lima on Jan 31st! I am flying to go with him, we are both pretty nervous! Do you have any tips or anything? My fiance has still not received his packet, he called the embassy and they told him they mailed it like 2 weeks ago. Congratulations again, you must be so happy!

Wow.... that is great news.... Congratulations :dance:

I read your post on your interview and I am curious to know if this guy wore glasses. If yes, we were interviewed by this guy, but in a private room and both were interviewed seperately. He is a very nasty guy. Very rude. He even asked us when the first time we kissed and when the first time we were intimate together. Crazy man, but you got your visa and on your way here.......

Natty,

I think he should start getting the following papers:

- Certificado Policial para el exterior ( Lo saca en la Av. Aramburu )

- Certificado Judicial ( A NIVEL NACIONAL ) ( hurry here !! it takes like 10 days )

- Certificado Penal

- Three originals of the birth certificate (of him) ( you need one now, but the others in the future )

All these papers should be signed by the Relaciones Exteriores people.

- Take travel evidence with you like Boarding Passes !! .. and pictures with the descriptions at the back.

- Bring a pencil with you.

Good Luck !! ...

MadR,

No, this guys was not using glasses ... but maybe they were brothers !! ...

time to graduate over to the aos forum then. something to get before you leave peru. a translation of your birth certificate if possible, your birth certificate, and don't forget the ds-3025, you'll need that to get the a-693a (immunization record) for aos.

Thanks to everybody .... !!!

Ok Charles, I have no idea what are you talking about, I understand the birth certificate part, but that "ds-3025" and the immunization thing ???? .. where can I read more about that ?

Thanks

assuming that a ds-3025 was issued during the medical, it covers the immunizations the beneficiary received prior to the interview during the medical portion. later on in the states, you'll need to have the ds-3025 transcribed over to an i-693a supplement.

reference this link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3aos

Medical Examination of Aliens Seeking Adjustment of Status. (If you already have this from your overseas Visa Interview submit a copy that medical check form; No fee is required in this case. If you are a K-1 fiancé(e) or K-2 dependent who had a medical examination within the past year as required for the nonimmigrant fiancé(e) visa, you only need to submit a vaccination supplement (I-693A), not the entire medical report. You may include the vaccination supplement with your adjustment of status application.)

to do that above, you'll need the ds-3025 form which was generated by the doctor for all of the medical checks prior to the interview. i just received the transcribed form yesterday, i had to turn in the ds-3025 and pay $40 (prices may vary) to get it put on an i-693a.

to find a doctor that is uscis certified to do the transcribing from the ds-3025 to an i-693a, go to this link and you can check it by zip code, state, etc. keep in mind this part is after you get married and start on aos

Congratulations on your visa!

There is no concept of "traductor oficial" here in the U.S. For your AOS, you can translate your own documents (if you are qualified to translate). We did it -- saved us a lot of $.

for any interested, here is the vj info on translations:

All supporting documents must be in English or be translated as noted here.):

Thanks - he has already started on the police certificates - who are the Relaciones Exteriores people? Is that REINEC? I thought only the birth certificate had to be signed by them. Is it possible I could get your email so my fiance can email you? Thanks!
