OK, don't hit me over hte head if this question has been asked before, folks! Haha.

Carlos arrived on 11/3 on a K1. We got hitched on 12/5. We anticipate sending out the OAS stuff this month. I have seen a similar question, but it usually refers to women who come to the states and change their name bc of marriage. Since he is a guy, he will not be changing his name. So, how does the SS card work for him? Do we apply for it now or do we wait for the AOS instead and not worry about the SS card?

Also, as I see it, check or money order is the only form of payment for the OAS/EAD/AP if sent to Chicago. COuld somebody confirm this?

Thanks in advance.

He need to apply for his SSN at least 2 weeks before his K1 expires or he will need to wait until he has his EAD....

As for payment for AOS applications I sent personal checks as I could see online when they were cashed and get the reciept numbers off the backs of the checks, it ment I did not need to wait for the NOA's to check our status online...

Good Luck
