There was enough fuel to get the plane to Indonesia but it would have been a feat to do so. There is so much radar surveillance in that area someone would have picked up something. To pull it off they would have had to fly that plane so low only a skilled pilot could.

However, if the plane had come apart, the debris field would have large and something would have been found by now... It sounds more like the plane vanished, which is even more intriguing.

The debris feild from a high altitude breakup could be scattered over hundreds of miles. If the plane fell intact from 35000 feet, it would take several minutes and there would be all kinds of automated warnings and alarms transmitted during that time.

Because not even the smallest piece has been recovered, it has become very suspicious. If indeed this is a hijacking they would not want to alert the hijackers or public that they know it.

To be sure, if the plane had come apart in flight the debris field would cover a large area.

There doesn't seem to be any indication there was problem leading up to the disappearance. Whatever happened was swift and left little to no trace of evidence. My FB is lit up with my wife's friends pondering what could have happened since some of them used to/still have ties to MA.

Also the plane had turned around, which is unusual without sending any communication. It's possible some kind of mechanical failure that they recognized too late. Also historically MA had had an incident with a 777 due to software problems (see link). I wonder if there could e similar issues here.

Malaysia Airlines did have an incident in August 2005 with a 777 flying from Perth to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. While flying 11,580 metres above the Indian Ocean, the plane’s software incorrectly measured speed and acceleration, causing the plane to suddenly shoot up 915 metres. The pilot disengaged the autopilot and descended and landed safely back in Perth. A software update was quickly made on planes around the world.

At this point I think we are moving past the possibility of a plane crash as not even the smallest piece has been recovered over a relatively small area of open sea. Unless someone finds and reports a piece of debris soon, then it's more likely the plane was landed under control of hijackers.

I think this theory would be better than crashing out to sea. At least the passengers might still be alive and some negotiations could take place.

The two mystery passengers were black, in case that hasn't been already mentioned in this thread.

It doesn't matter in my book, but I know some here, that's all they need.

Black people, yeesh!

In all seriousness, they're black means they're not Uighur or however you spell that.

Might not be black. Depending on where they're from, their nationality might be something else. Black people for me are born here in America.
